New Product Announcement

Welp, it's been over 20 years since Cobalt Microsystems / Sun Cobalt shuttered up, and so obviously there have been no new products on the market that we know of, specifically aimed at the Cobalt line of servers  - other than the extended support, software packages, and so on from the various spin-off websites, ISP's, TrueBlue partners, resellers and former Cobalt Employees and open-source enthusiasts on the internet.

Well, I'm here to tell you that after 8 months on the drawing board and several years existing as an idea, we have decided that this situation cannot continue!

We have seen the efforts and enthusiasm of Amigans, old Mac fans, and the Retro Computing community at large, and decided enough was enough. We sat down with a pen and paper, a bunch of jumper wires and breadboard, and enough coffee to fuel us, and eventually produced some schematics.

Now it isn't the most advanced product - not by a long shot, but it will be released to the community and we hope you are going to get as excited as we are - goodness knows we could use the feedback and suggestions on how to improve it, when it comes. 

The Gerber files for our first ever prototype have been sent to our manufacturer, and we hope to have them in our hands in the next couple of weeks.

So... watch this space. we are awaiting the first new HARDWARE product aimed at the Cobalt server line in DECADES!!
